Join us for a festive day of craft and creativity in a cosy barn hidden away in the forest at Little Heath Farm. We will be showing you how to create needle-felted pigs in blankets, a stylish macramé star decoration and a set of four embossed foil ornaments.

If you joined us for our workshops last Christmas, you will be learning even more skills, to build on those that you discovered before. But this course is totally beginner-friendly so if it is your first time you will be more than welcome! Here’s a bit more about what to expect:

In the morning, Rachel will show you how to make some cute and funny Needle-Felted Pigs in Blankets from soft merino wool fibres and then you can decorate a little blanket for him too. Hang him on your tree, or display him on your festive table, he is bound to raise a smile this Christmas.

After lunch, which will be available to purchase from the Little Heath Farm Tea Room, Katie will teach you how to design your own set of foil embossed ornaments from a choice of Nordic-style designs. This craft is easy to master and very relaxing so you can get lost in an hour or so of chilled-out embossing work.

After a tea break, Rachel will show you how to make a Macramé star wall hanging, using three simple knots. We will be using a fine single twist cord in a pale natural cream and wooden beads to embellish your design.

There is a café on site, providing tea, coffee and locally-made cakes if you get peckish while crafting! If you’re driving, there’s plenty of parking available in the car park and also in the lane. Little Heath Farm is a wonderful plant nursery so you might enjoy a wander among the borders, picking up some new plants for your garden while you’re there.
